Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about our Saudi dates, ordering and delivery across Pakistan, including Lahore.
The dates
What are Ajwa dates?
Ajwa is the Prophet’s date, grown in the volcanic soil of Madinah and prized across the Muslim world. It is dark, tender and gently sweet, with notes of raisin and caramel.
What is the difference between Ajwa, Sukkari, Amber, Mabroom and Sugai?
Ajwa is dark, soft and subtly sweet. Sukkari is golden, soft and caramel-like, and melts in the mouth. Amber is large, plump and meaty, with a mellow sweetness. Mabroom is long, slender and chewy, with toffee notes. Sugai is two-toned, with a crisp golden tip and a soft centre.
Where do your dates come from?
Our dates are imported from Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Every box is packed at origin and flown to Pakistan in small weekly batches, never warehoused or re-packed.
How should I store dates?
Keep dates in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. For longer storage, keep them in the fridge and bring them to room temperature before eating.
Are dates suitable for iftar?
Dates are traditionally eaten to break the fast, and any of our varieties works for iftar. Ajwa, the Prophet’s date, is the traditional favourite.
